This table was made to go with the shelf, sits right across from it. Same woods. And it's got a "floating" top, too.

There's not much to say about it. Started out one thing, wound up another. As usual. Gradually went from inspiration – any table in Ecke's Chinese Domestic Furniture – to whatever this is now. Maybe I should have done more with it.

I've always liked those molded edges that Chinese furniture often has. Sort of demanding, in a casual way. Not that the one used here is in any way comparable. That will never happen. Certainly, not in this lifetime.
